I tried several different foods after rescuing a cat. This is the only hills wet food he will eat. I tried just hairball, turkey and salmon. He will no eat any of them! I even tried another brand and he wasn't happy. So now we are stuck on this can. If he's happy, I'm happy!

7 Happy Cats

With 7 cats and a history of losing males to blockages, I feed as much urinary and wet food as they will accept. Everyone here likes it. I add 3-4 T water per can and mash it in. They like the dry as well. I mix about 6 different drys together (urinary, hairball, dental, grain free) so they eat it as is or pick out their favs. I feed approx 50% wet food. All are healthy, brushed 2-3 times a week and bathed once a month. No tumbleweed here.

Struggling to feed my cat with CKD, only thing he will eat

My 8 year old has had feline lower urinary tract disease since he was 3. This past summer he was diagnosed with CKD and I haven't been able to get him to consistently eat any one food. The KD dry food had his creatinine elevated earlier this month. He was also getting the KD stew, which he liked, but got turned off of and ultimately lost weight between blood work appointments. He had lower levels with Friskies wet food in August, so I decided to go back to it. With the store shelves bare 2 weeks ago, I decided to brink home the urinary/hairball wet food to try as well. The GA is more appropriate than Friskies, I think it's less rich, and he eats it right up. He's finally ALMOST eating full daily rations on it. I wish I had started this before the CKD diagnosis… we might not be here.
