NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. SPONSOR
This Contest (the "Contest") is sponsored and administered by PetMax.ca (the "Sponsor"), located at 45 Nebo Rd, Hamilton, ON, L8W 2C9.
2. CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on May 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on May 31, 2026 (the "Contest Period").
3. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Québec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, representatives, agents, and immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and household members) of the Sponsor, its affiliated companies, and their advertising or promotional agencies are not eligible. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.
4. HOW TO ENTER
There are three (3) ways to enter the Contest during the Contest Period:
- Purchase Entry: Each purchase of any Blue Wilderness pet food product from PetMax.ca or in-store at PetMax during the Contest Period will automatically provide the purchaser with one (1) entry into the Contest, based on the customer information associated with the transaction record.
- Mailing List Entry (No Purchase Necessary): Eligible individuals may enter without making a purchase by subscribing to the PetMax.ca mailing list during the Contest Period. One (1) entry per valid subscription.
- Essay Entry (No Purchase Necessary): Eligible individuals may also enter by submitting a unique, original, and unpublished essay of at least 1,000 words describing a recent outdoor or wilderness adventure with their pet in Canada. Essays must be emailed to sales@petmax.ca or mailed to PetMax, 45 Nebo Rd, Hamilton, ON, L8W 2C9 and received no later than May 31, 2026. Each valid, unique essay counts as one (1) entry, with a maximum of one essay entry per person.
Limit: Maximum of one (1) entry per person per day, regardless of entry method.
5. PRIZE
There is one (1) prize available to be won, consisting of a Blue Wilderness Prize Pack supplied by Blue Buffalo Co., Ltd., containing: one (1) Blue Wilderness-branded YETI dog bowl, one (1) Blue Wilderness-branded water bottle holder, one (1) Blue Wilderness-branded Kurgo car seat cover, and one (1) Blue Wilderness-branded JBL portable speaker. Approximate retail value: $300 CAD (the "Prize").
The Prize must be accepted as awarded, has no cash value, and is not transferable or substitutable, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize, in whole or in part, with another prize of equal or greater value if the Prize is unavailable.
6. WINNER SELECTION
On or about June 5, 2026, one (1) eligible entrant will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The selected entrant will be notified by email or telephone within five (5) business days of the draw.
To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must:
- Respond to the notification within seven (7) days;
- Correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question without assistance;
- Sign and return a Declaration and Release form confirming eligibility, compliance with these Terms, and a liability/publicity release.
Failure to meet these conditions will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate entrant.
7. ODDS OF WINNING
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS
- Disqualification: The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, late, lost, misdirected, or violates these Terms.
- Right to Cancel or Amend: The Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest in the event of fraud, technical failures, human error, or any other cause beyond its control, without prior notice.
- Limitation of Liability: By entering, entrants agree that the Sponsor, its affiliates, employees, and agents are not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries; (ii) technical failures or interruptions; (iii) any injury, damage, or loss arising from participation or use of the Prize.
- Indemnity: Entrants release and hold harmless the Sponsor, affiliates, and agents from any claims, damages, or liability arising out of participation in the Contest or acceptance/use of the Prize.
9. QUEBEC RESIDENTS
This Contest is void in the province of Quebec. The Contest is not intended for and is not open to residents of Quebec, due to unique promotional regulations under Quebec law. Entries from Quebec residents will not be accepted. Entries originating from Quebec will be declared void and ineligible to win.
10. PRIVACY
Personal information collected in connection with this Contest will be used by the Sponsor for Contest administration purposes and otherwise handled in accordance with PetMax.ca's Privacy Policy.
11. TRADEMARKS
Blue Wilderness® is a trademark of Blue Buffalo Co., Ltd. YETI®, Kurgo®, and JBL® are trademarks of their respective owners. Prize items are co-branded promotional products supplied by Blue Buffalo Co., Ltd. This Contest is not administered or endorsed by YETI, Kurgo, or JBL.
12. GOVERNING LAW
This Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, except where otherwise required by applicable provincial law.
13. DISPUTES
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
