FAQs

What is Advantage II for Medium Dogs?
It's the medium-dog version of Advantage II — topical monthly flea treatment for dogs weighing 4.6–11 kg (10–22 lbs). Six applications per box for half-year coverage.
Does it treat anything besides fleas?
It also treats lice. Some packaging mentions both. For ticks, mosquitoes, or biting flies you'd need K9 Advantix II instead — Advantage II focuses on fleas plus lice.
How does it 'break the flea life cycle'?
Pyriproxyfen prevents flea eggs in your dog's environment from hatching. Without juveniles maturing, the population can't sustain itself — that's how a single-dog application also reduces fleas in your home over time.
How young can my puppy use it?
Safe for dogs and puppies 7 weeks and older — younger than the K9 Advantix II minimum (8 weeks). Always confirm against the package and check with your vet for puppies.
When should I check with a vet?
If your dog is on other medications, has health conditions, is pregnant or nursing, or is older. Vets can also confirm whether topical or oral flea control is the better fit for your situation.
