Product Benefits

1 Comfortable and secure
The lightweight Halti Headcollar is designed for dog comfort and safety with a fully padded nose band, waterproof reflective webbing and a safety link that attaches to your dog’s collar.

2 Effective no pull training
The Halti Headcollar prevents pulling on the lead by gently steering and guiding your dog’s direction. The responsive design of this dog head collar helps to train your pet to walk without pulling.

3 Find your best fit
Dogs are full of energy and panting helps them cool down as they explore. Halti Headcollars are uniquely designed in multiple sizes to ensure a great fit for your dog that won’t interfere with panting, eating or drinking.

4 Better together
For a better no pull walking and training experience, pair with the Halti Training Lead. This dual-clip lead attaches to your dog’s head collar for optimal no-pull support and steering control.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more about PetMax.

What is the Halti Headcollar?
It's the original no-pull dog headcollar designed by Dr. Roger Mugford in the 1980s. Pioneered the headcollar concept for dogs and remains a top choice for trainers worldwide.
How does it work?
Loops over the muzzle and behind the ears like a horse halter. When the dog pulls, gentle pressure turns the head — the dog can't keep pulling forward effectively, so they learn to slow down.
How should it fit?
Snug at the nose loop (so it can't slip off) but loose enough that the dog can pant and drink. Behind the ears it should be comfortable, not tight. Multiple sizes — measure before buying.
Halti vs Halti OptiFit?
The classic Halti is the original. The OptiFit adds self-adjusting chin and contoured cheek straps for harder-to-fit faces. Pick the OptiFit if your dog has a flat face or unusual head shape, the classic for typical breeds.
Will my dog accept it?
Most dogs accept it after gradual introduction with treats. Don't put it on cold and immediately walk — give 5–10 minutes of treat-training over several days first to build a positive association.
