he HALTI Training Lead, also designed by Dr. Roger Mugford, is a firm favourite with dog trainers worldwide due to its versatility and comfort in use.

With three different lead length options, the HALTI Training Lead can be used for general walking or obedience training. When used in conjunction with a HALTI Headcollar or Harness, the double trigger clip design provides optimum steering and control for non-pull training.

What is the Halti Training Lead?
It's a multi-purpose dog lead designed by Dr. Roger Mugford with three different length settings, two trigger clips, and use both as a regular walking leash and a hands-free / double-ended training lead.
How is it different from a normal leash?
Three length options let you switch between close walking, longer training distance, and across-the-body or hands-free wear without changing leashes. The double trigger clip pairs with Halti headcollars for two-point control.
Do I need a Halti headcollar to use it?
No — it works as a regular leash on a collar or harness. But it's especially useful with a Halti Headcollar or Harness, where the double-clip gives you simultaneous head and back control for non-pull training.
How does it help with pulling?
When clipped to both a Halti Headcollar and a back-clip on a harness, you can use one clip to redirect the dog's head and the other for body control. That two-point setup is much more effective than a single-point connection.
Who is Roger Mugford?
Dr. Roger Mugford is a British animal psychologist who designed the Halti Headcollar in the 1980s. His training tools focus on humane, low-force methods that work with how dogs naturally respond.
