  • Rattling sounds that KONG says spark a cat’s hunting instincts
  • Flat shapes that are easy for cats to pick up, play with and bat around
  • Soft, textured fronts: a bobbled gingerbread with an embroidered face and green bow tie, and a shaggy brown cocoa top on the mug
  • Shiny iridescent crinkle-film backs on both toys
  • Materials listed as 88% polyester, 6% EVA, 3% corn starch beads, 2% crinkle film and 1% catnip

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more about PetMax.

What is the KONG Holiday Scrattles Gingerbread & Cocoa 2-Pack made of?
This 2-pack holds two flat holiday cat toys: a golden gingerbread figure and a red cocoa mug with a white snowflake print and a candy-cane-striped handle. The materials are listed as 88% polyester, 6% EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate), 3% corn starch beads, 2% crinkle film and 1% catnip. Each toy has a soft, textured front and a shiny iridescent crinkle-film back.
Which cats will enjoy the KONG Holiday Scrattles Gingerbread & Cocoa toys?
KONG designed Scrattles for chasing, batting and capturing. KONG says the rattling sounds spark a cat's hunting instincts, and the flat shapes make the toys easy for cats to pick up, play with and bat around. KONG also says the soft, textured exteriors make them good for snuggles after a long play session, so they suit playful cats that like small toys to swat across the floor.
Do the KONG Holiday Scrattles Gingerbread & Cocoa toys contain catnip?
Yes. The pack is marked Catnip, and KONG says the toys are filled with KONG Premium North American Catnip to make play sessions longer and livelier. Catnip makes up 1% of the listed materials. KONG does not describe these toys as refillable. To use them, toss one across the floor or leave both where your cat likes to play, and let the rattling sound draw your cat in.
Is the KONG Holiday Scrattles Gingerbread & Cocoa 2-Pack safe to leave out for my cat?
These are soft fabric toys, so they are best used with supervision. Check both toys regularly for loose threads, tears or exposed filling and replace them if they become worn or damaged. They are not indestructible, so take them away from a cat that chews toys apart. KONG does not publish washing instructions for this item, so we cannot recommend a cleaning method.
How big are the toys in the KONG Holiday Scrattles Gingerbread & Cocoa 2-Pack?
The 2-pack comes in one size. KONG's dimension graphic shows the gingerbread toy at 4 in (10.1 cm) tall; KONG does not publish separate measurements for the cocoa mug. This is not an assorted item: each pack contains the same two toys shown in the photos, one gingerbread figure and one cocoa mug, so you know exactly which characters you will receive.
