FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more about PetMax.

What is the KONG Low Stuff Flanimalz Hippo Dog Toy made of?

The Flanimalz Hippo is an oversized plush hippo with minimal stuffing, made from extra-thick fabric that KONG lines for added durability. It has varied textures, a floating squeaker inside and a black-and-white check pattern with light grey ears, embroidered blue eyes and two white fabric teeth. KONG's product information for this toy does not list a fibre-content breakdown, so we cannot give exact material percentages.

Which dogs and play styles suit the KONG Low Stuff Flanimalz Hippo Dog Toy?

KONG describes the Flanimalz as an oversized cozy friend that is ideal for dogs of all sizes. The hippo is made for dogs that love to shake, tug and thrash a soft toy in rough-and-tumble play, and KONG calls it perfect for carrying around the house. When playtime ends, KONG says it doubles as a comforting cuddle buddy for naptime.

Does the KONG Low Stuff Flanimalz Hippo Dog Toy squeak, and how does the squeaker work?

Yes. The hippo has a floating squeaker inside, and its hang tag is marked Squeaks. KONG says the floating squeaker surprises dogs with joyful sounds that spark their desire to play, and the round sticker on the packaging reads Floating Squeaker Inside. KONG does not describe the squeaker as removable, so treat it as a built-in part of the toy.

Is the KONG Low Stuff Flanimalz Hippo Dog Toy durable enough for rough play?

KONG designed the Flanimalz with extra-thick fabric that is lined for added durability, and says these low-stuff characters are built to endure pulling and thrashing. KONG also calls the hippo perfect for tugging and thrashing, but does not market it as a chew toy, so supervise play time and discontinue use if it becomes damaged. If any part is ingested, seek veterinary advice.

How big is the KONG Low Stuff Flanimalz Hippo Dog Toy?

PetMax carries the Flanimalz Hippo in X-Large. KONG's dimension graphic shows it at 35.5 cm (14 in) long and 25.4 cm (10 in) tall, measured standing on all four legs. KONG calls it an oversized cozy friend that is ideal for dogs of all sizes. Each order is one hippo; this is a single design, not an assortment.
