Wild Reserve pairs protein-packed ORIJEN kibble with 100% beef liver morsels that are freeze-dried to lock in flavour and nutrition, adding taste, texture and variety without a separate topper. The kibble is made with WholePrey animal ingredients (meat, organs and bone), roughly 85% animal ingredients overall, and the first five ingredients are raw beef, lamb, pork, beef liver and salmon. Kibble pieces average about 14 mm and morsels about 16 mm.

Is Orijen Wild Reserve Beef & Lamb suitable for puppies, adult dogs and seniors?

It is formulated to meet FEDIAF nutritional levels for all breeds and all life stages, except the growth of large-size dogs (15 kg or more as an adult), so it is not intended for large-breed puppies. Small and medium puppies can eat it: feed twice the adult amount from 1½ to 3 months, 1½ times from 3 to 6 months and 1¼ times from 6 to 11 months. Adult and senior dogs are fed by body weight and activity level.

How much Wild Reserve Beef & Lamb should I feed, and how do I switch my dog over?

Orijen's daily starting amounts depend on weight and activity, for example 63–109 g (½–⅞ cup) for a less active 5–10 kg dog, 156–250 g (1¼–2 cups) for an active 10–20 kg dog and 250–344 g for an active 20–30 kg dog, split into two meals. A standard 250 ml cup holds about 125 g. To switch, mix 25% new food with 75% current food and increase gradually over 10–14 days.

Is this recipe grain-free, and which proteins or common allergens does it contain?

Yes. It contains no grain ingredients (Orijen notes trace amounts may be present due to cross-contact); instead it includes whole lentils, pinto beans, navy beans and chickpeas. It is not a single-protein diet: animal ingredients include beef, lamb, pork, salmon, herring, sardine, whitefish oil, fresh eggs and organ meats. No chicken meat is listed, but it does contain eggs and fish, so it may not suit dogs sensitive to those ingredients.
