What makes Orijen Wild Reserve Wild-Caught Fish Recipe different from regular Orijen cat food?

It combines Orijen's WholePrey kibble with 100% shrimp morsels that are freeze-dried to lock in flavour and nutrition, adding texture and variety to every bite. The first six ingredients are raw whole herring, salmon, flounder, whole rockfish, cod and whole hake, and the recipe is about 85% animal ingredients. Orijen lists the kibble at roughly 10 mm and the shrimp morsels at roughly 16 mm (average sizes).

Is this recipe suitable for kittens, adult cats and senior cats?

It is made with no grain ingredients (Orijen notes trace amounts may be present due to potential cross-contact). The animal ingredients are fish and shellfish: herring, salmon, flounder, rockfish, cod, hake, mackerel, blue whiting, pollock, sardine, whitefish oil and freeze-dried shrimp. The ingredient list contains no chicken or other poultry, but because it includes shrimp, avoid it for cats with a known shellfish allergy. Lentils, beans, chickpeas and peas round out the recipe.
