What is Oatmeal Medicated Dog Shampoo?
It's a medicated shampoo with salicylic acid plus colloidal oatmeal, tea tree oil, and vitamin B5. Treats dandruff, flakes, and dry, irritated skin while soothing during the bath.
What does 'medicated' mean here?
It contains salicylic acid — a keratolytic agent that loosens and removes dead skin cells. That's what makes it effective on flaky, dandruff-prone, or seborrheic skin.
When should I use it?
For dogs with visible dandruff, flaky skin, or seborrhea. Also useful as a periodic deep-clean shampoo for dogs prone to skin buildup.
Why oatmeal and tea tree oil?
Colloidal oatmeal soothes irritation while salicylic acid does the deep cleaning. Tea tree oil adds antimicrobial support. Vitamin B5 hydrates skin so it doesn't get drier from the medicated cleansing.
Compatible with flea/tick treatments?
Yes — formulated to play nicely with topical flea and tick products. Use it without breaking your parasite-prevention routine.
