What is the Flexi Classic Cord?
It's the original Flexi retractable leash with a thin cord (instead of flat tape). 3m / 10ft length, with the patented Flexi retraction system that smoothly extends and retracts as your dog moves.
Cord vs tape — what's the difference?
Cord is thinner and offers less wind resistance — easier to manage in tight spaces. Tape is wider, more visible, and generally rated for higher dog weights. Pick cord for very small dogs in calm environments; pick tape for larger dogs or high-distraction settings.
How does the brake work?
Push the brake button with your thumb — the leash locks instantly. Slide it to lock continuously, release to allow free extension. Intuitive enough that you can react in fractions of a second.
What size dog is it for?
The 'Classic' line is sized in S/M/L based on dog weight. Read the package label — using a leash rated for a smaller dog risks the cord snapping under load. Always size up rather than down.
Any safety considerations?
Don't attach a Flexi to a flat collar — sudden tension on a thin neck collar can cause injury. Use a back-clip harness instead. Don't let the cord wrap around limbs (yours or the dog's) — Flexi-related injuries are usually rope-burn from the cord.
