What is the Flexi Classic Tape?

It's the tape-format version of the original Flexi retractable leash — extends up to 5m, with the patented retraction system. Wider, flatter strap rather than the thin cord version.

Tape vs cord version?

Tape is wider, more visible, and generally rated for larger dogs. Cord is thinner with less wind resistance for very small dogs. Most owners prefer tape for its higher visibility — easier to see and to keep track of in busy environments.

5m feels long — is that practical?

5m gives your dog meaningful exploration room without going off-leash. Use the brake to limit length to what your environment requires — 1m on busy sidewalks, full extension on open trails. The flexibility is the appeal.

How do I use it correctly?

Hold the handle firmly, use the brake to control how much leash plays out, and stay alert to your surroundings. The retractable mechanism does the work of taking up slack as your dog moves toward you — but it doesn't replace your attention.

Don't attach to a flat collar?

Right — Flexis can generate sudden hard tension that injures necks. Use a properly-fitted back-clip harness. Also don't grab the cord/tape with bare hands during pulls — rope burn is real.
