Description

How big is the Simon's Scratch Playland scratcher?
The Scratch Playland measures 30 x 30 x 55 cm (11.8 x 11.8 x 21.7 in) and is marketed by Burgham as a 22 in high post. The petal-shaped base is the widest part at roughly 30 cm across. That compact footprint makes it easy to place in an apartment, a bedroom corner or beside a sofa.
What is the self groomer on this cat scratcher?
The self groomer is a sleeve of soft bristles that wraps right around the lower half of the post. Your cat rubs their head, cheeks and flanks against it to scratch an itch and work loose hair out of their coat, with no help from you. It sits below the sisal section so scratching and grooming each have their own zone.
What materials is the Scratch Playland made from?
The upper post is wrapped in natural sisal rope, the preferred scratching fibre for most cats. The two-tier base is engineered wood (MDF) with a natural finish, and the post carries plush trim rings plus a plush pom-pom dangler. The groomer section uses moulded bristles and the teaser is a feather wand on a coiled metal spring.
What toys are included with this scratcher?
Three play features are built in. A plush pom-pom hangs on a string from the top of the post, a feather wand on a coiled spring is mounted at the edge of the base, and the two-tier base holds captive rolling balls in concentric tracks for batting and chasing.
Who makes the Simon's brand of cat scratchers?
Simon's is the house cat brand of Burgham Sales Ltd., a Canadian importer, distributor and manufacturer of pet supplies based at 895 Brock Road in Pickering, Ontario. PetMax stocks the Simon's range and ships it from our Hamilton, Ontario store.
